Dear Family,
How was the 4th of July? Because we couldn't watch the fireworks we did sparklers outside...:) How are things going in Morgan?
This week has been pretty great. We've spent a lot of time with less actives and members. Our ward is struggling with ward missionary work so ever since the broadcast we have placed an emphasis on the members and less actives. This week the member we are living with, Sister C, had surgery. So her less active daughter came from New Jersey to help her out a little bit. She is around our age and instantly Sister W and I became friends with her. It was really to cool to watch her heart slowly be softened everyday as we would share our experiences. As we continued to do so she began to be really curious and opened up with the struggles in her life. We jokingly were saying we would have to role play with her for practice in the lessons. So we did it. It soon turned into a real situation rather than role play. She began to ask real heartfelt questions and through the Spirit we answered her questions and concerns. She had a previous boyfriend who did all the Anti-Mormon stuff and she was still burdened with some those questions. I was unsure on what to do about that but the phrase in Preach My Gospel that says all objections need to be handled with the Book of Mormon. So we testified of the truthfulness of it. Man, Preach My Gospel is so great. :) The Book of Mormon is so great! I had more experiences but it would take every second of email time to tell you about it...so I just picked my favorite. :)

Something that was said in training
this week that I liked a lot was that the Savior prepared 33 years for 6
hours. Yeah just think about it, let it sink it. How has the Lord
prepared you for things? I know the Lord has prepared me 19 years for this 18
months. I for sure know that the Lord needed Sister Wa and I here in
Le Mars. We both have a unique way of connecting with people and
teaching. Even it is in Iowa where we wait 20 min for trains and tractors
are the most common car on the road...no big deal. :)
Another thing that was shared was
that because I'm on missions that means that my family will be blessed to be
missionaries as well. So get pumped there are people in Morgan or
wherever that need the gospel and they need our families testimonies and
example. So look for people that you could testify of the truthfulness of
the gospel to! I know it's scary and against social norm but this is the Gospel
of Jesus Christ we're talking about. The one and only true way to get back to
our Heavenly Father! Do we have missionaries in Morgan? I can't remember.
You should go on splits with them! :) Anyway sorry that sounds a little soap
boxish but it's such a big deal I get a little excited about it. :)
Something that I am working on this week is called a 40 day
fast. Don't worry I'm not starving myself for 40 days although between all the
members feeding us and ice cream it might be helpful towards my weight.
It is basically 40 days in how you can turn your will completely over the our
Heavenly Father so that we can fully do His will. I will post the link.
:) Everyone should do it. You can adjust it to your needs but yeah, it's
kind of the greatest.

I love you all! Thanks for all of
your prayers and support. I miss you guys and I made it through my first month!
Love, Sister Curfew
P.S. Fireflies are REALLY cool! I
caught one and it was awesome.
